My girlfriend and I visited El Taco for the first time last week and we thought the food was great and the Tacos to die for. We'll be back again and again. Must be Brisbane's best kept secret.

Myself and my wife ate at El Taco last night for the 3rd time in 4 years. We both found the food to be excellent, and considerably better than 2 other Mexican restaurants we have eaten at in Brisbane. The portions were well prices, sensibly sized, and the food was not as stodgy as Mexican food can sometimes be. Service was fast and very polite.

My wife and dislike El Taco. We dislike the food, especially the Enchiladas, Burritos and Texas Combo which is an Enchilada and Burrito served together. We have tried everything on the menu over the last couple of years but things never improve. There never seems enough as the meals are so tiny.The atmosphere is awful also and the staff are always slow. We'll never come back. It's just the worst Mexican Restaurant!!

The worst service I have ever experienced was at this restaurant. The young waitress made myself and my family feel so unwelcome that we left after our entrees (which were of very poor quality).

The food here is so stale that it made my mother feel ill on her birthday. The staff are more than slow and rude, they are in fact aggressive. This place ruined my week

After paying for a very unappetising and overpriced meal, enduring the offensive and unhelpful ways of the service here, I had the mispleasure of becoming very ill. A person warned me not to eat there because the food was of substandard, but I stupidly did not listen.

I found out about this site from a friend of mine.My girlfriends and I have been going to El Taco for about 3 years now and we usually meet up about once a month to catch up. El Taco is a great place to relax and unwind particularly on the quiet nights. We have always found the staff friendly and helpful and we all love the food. Our favorite is Nachos with the Works which we share. The prices work in well with our budget and with a jug of Sangria, what could be better. We couldn't recommended it highly enough. If we are feeling really wicked we order the Steamed Mexican Fruit Cake. Yumm!!

This place has changed so much. The food is now bland, the atmosphere uncomfortable and the service down right rude. The owner told my two year old grandaughter to 'stay seated at her table', Such hostile treatment was amplified by the owner telling me that cards were not accepted because staff had trouble using them.

Was part of a party that was at El Taco tonight. Would have been a great party if we had not have been there. Here is the roll call of horrors. Three of my friends are now physically ill after eating the stale and off tasting food. There was almost twenty of us, supposed to be more, THANK GOD everyone did not show up or more would be sick. A waiter spilt a drink on my friend. We ordered cheesecake and the cheesecake was so old it had red lumps in it. One of my friends specifically ordered a very hot coffee cause she was cold and the waitress gave it to her less than warm. Apparently nobody knows how to use the machine she said. But the worst thing was the food. It tasted disgusting and looked like manure. We were told the owner cooked it. This is a disgrace.‎

Best Mexican food in Brisbane, probably Australia. Been dining there for 33 years now since it opened and it is going really great, better than ever. Best food and awesome service, especially from the young waitress who's been there a couple of years. Great environment to take a family too, I always love to bring my family there. Awesome!
