I have dined in the restaurant two times before but I will not go there again. I had planned to celebrate my baby's first b'day over there but not after this!!!! The food no doubt is good but the staff and owner of the restaurant as I had heard from many people are rude and racist. and the thing that matters most is how you are greeted and served and then comes the food. The staff is so arrogant and rude that I will suggest people not go there they may face the same humiliation. No water was served at the start which is the first thing you usually expect. and when we asked for the water ultimately it was served but only in two glasses. After finishing dinner no body came to clear the table and when we asked for the dessert and the owner came with this arrogant attitude as he is doing for us as free offer. There focus is only on white people.most of there waitresses are white with full of attitude and they cant understand what u were asking for.Better to keep them for firangis. When we were not even finished our dinner yet the girl who was serving us stared eating with two other persons on the adjoining table.Knowing that we had a baby in the pram aswell nobody bothered to open the door for us which they usually do for every customer. That was the shear wastage of time and money!!!

well, what can i say, i eat out a lot...i am a Connoisseur Club member and i'm always looking for great deals in great restaurants. I have been to this place about 30 times because the food is great but unfortunately after tonight i will never be back, I will also be informing every person i had told about this restaurant to also not return again...why>? because you should never argue with the customer in front of other guests for one and secondly, if you cannot grant the specials you offer on your own site and other sites then don't offer them to start with.... i'm not going to go into the ins and outs of every single thing that happened tonight but lets just say the 2 owners are both smart arses, rude, will not let you speak, then talk right over you, just pure rudeness!. They just decided tonight when i went to pay that they had just stopped taking the Connoissuer card (you basically get your cheapest main for free) and that (apparently) last time i dined there (about a week ago) they called up the club "straight after i left" and informed them that they would not be accepting the card anymore (the Connossuier Club offices must be open at 10pm at night)...so, i said i would use the '20% off the total bill' internet special they have at the moment instead... they said, "oh no, you have to print that add out or we cant give it to the web guys to redeem it" what the??? you are the friggin owners of the restaurant, not the web guys! It clearly states this on the site word for word (spelling mistakes and grammar included)....
20% OF ON FOOD BILL. UP TO $20. OFFER VALID SUNDAY TO THURSDAY BY PRESENTING THIS ADVERTISEMENT. Now, nowhere there does it say you have to print it out as they said i had to, it clearly says 'BY PRESENTING THIS ADVERTISEMENT'....right? So, i had my phone with me and brought it up on the phone and presented the ad to them...this is when all the crap started...they are just tight and didn't want to give any discount...previous to this, they had gotten to know my wife and i after going to their place so many times, they use to hate us after a while because they new i would be getting a main for free...a couple of times ago they said to me "you know we make no money from you!, its a waste of our time really!" And i was quite taken back by this...I just said, "you probably shouldnt tell your clients that but lucky i have told about 2 dozen different people about this place hey" he didnt say anything...you just don't say that to a customer. anyway, i informed them tonight that i would never be back and they started getting a little concerned because i also mentioned i would go out of my way to make sure everyone knows about this....they chose not to give 8 bucks discount to the wrong guy. its a real shame...

I too am quite shocked and reasonably puzzled reading some of these reviews. So much so I would actually question the veracity of some of them? We are regulars of this restaurant, both eat-in and take-away, and aside from the odd forgotten "extra" we have requested over the phone when ordering, we have never had a negative experience. I would definitely question the expectations of someone visiting a very reasonably priced suburban restaurant having problems here as I think this is one of our western gems.
The food here is plentiful, well presented and in general wonderful. The prices are extremely reasonable, the wine list extensive and the staff are extremely attentive. If anything the service bears more toward the "over-attentive" end of the spectrum in my opinion. The owners have created a lovely modern ambience, the lighting is great and my only "complaint" would be that it is a shame with this restaurant being as popular as it is that it isn't in a larger space; some of the seating is a little impersonal.
Finally, I suspect some of the negativity I read here may be more related to the local competition than the restaurant itself, which would be most disappointing. In Werribee we really are spoiled for choice with either indian establishment and that has to be good news for local or visiting devotees to this cuisine. Food for thought? Any eatery in Werribee where it's best to book to avoid disappointment even early in the week is an eatery which is thriving, this one clearly is for good reason.

I have to say I am surprised at the other reviews. The food is excellent, the service is good if not a little over attentive but the other comments do this place an injustice. I've been several times and for me it is the best Indian I have been to in Melbourne.

As per other reviews, we also found the staff to be very rude. We were waiting for our take away with restaurant half empty. One of the waitresses asked us to go out of the restaurant and wait outside when it was cold and raining outside. The worst part was that this was done at the suggestion of the owner. Their service is really slow as well. We had to wait for half an hour for our small take away order.

We were recommended this restaurant by several friends. We had to hail down the service staff for absolutely EVERYTHING! For menus, drinks, our actual food! We were served 2 entrees and had to inquire where the other two were, it took another 15 minutes to get them! Of course by then half of our party had finished their food! Our mains were also a disappointment, The Vindaloo was extremely mild after being quoted on the menu as "extremely hot". The Waitress' were quite rude however they seemed to be having arguments with each other directly in the middle of the dinning area for majority of the night. I recommend Macca's or KFC over this place! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

the service is very crappy.. it is overpriced and their chicken sucks.. vegetable curry is uneatable and there is not enough room. The soft drinks issue is another story... their "JUG" consists of 1 can of drink and costs $8.00, enough for 1.5 glasses (half full ), their champagne glass is honestly 1/4 filled with the lowest quality flat white alcoholic beverage which you can call "champagne" with the great strain.. the waitresses seem disorientated and not aware of what is on the menu and what they are meant to do.
hated it!!
negative 1 star...

this restaurant can get pretty busy on weekends so you may have to book. When its busy the service isn't so good, the waiters sometimes forgot about your food if you had pre-ordered each meal (entre, main & dessert) other wise if you get a quiet dinner or lunch the service is pretty good. the food is delicious it keeps you satisfied and their lemon lime bitters drink is addictive. they have very Indian dishes and drinks. the atmosphere is pretty small. the tables and chairs all seem too close to one another and the toilet doesn't have very much space. the prices are alright although it is a tad bit expensive, its worth it so if your craving Indian then heres the restaurant for you
