I recently moved into the Maroubra area from the Inner West and visited Vinny's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I loved it and have returned every week since as I slowly work my way through the menu. I've taken friends in small and large groups as I impress them with my new find. Great food, cheapest woodfired pizza in sydney and by far the best I've ever had, even better than any I had in Europe and Italy. The pasta is dente not over cooked but perfect, just the way it should be and the veal is tender and juicy. Dessert, if you can squeeze it in, is awesome, white chocolate and passionfriut pizza, OMG. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for. Seriously a jewel in the eastern suburbs. Love it, love it, love it :)

Finally a pizza that tastes good. The base is so light and crisp it stands up when you pick it up. The topping is perfect, fresh, good quality products and reasonably priced. The service is great, friendly staff that cater to whatever difficult request I have. The menu is huge and to top it off they also have chef specials, Lamb cutlets and quails, fantastic for a small suburban restaurant. The pasta is very generous and cooked to perfection. I'm never eating Italian anywhere else. Buona!!

I have been a customer of Vinny's since they opened in Maroubra and at the beginning their prices matched the quality of the food and serving sizes. But sadly their portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. I ordered a fettuccine boscaiola which cost me $15.90. The serving size was tiny. The small container it was in was not even full and the pasta was under cooked! For that price you expect better quality than that. It was pathetic. And i will not be buying anything from there ever again. I have never done one of these customer reviews before but felt i had to as Vinney's has turned into a rip off!
